where to stay in Venice

I was lucky to grow up in a city not too far from Venice, so I went there at least six times so far.

Still, I paid for a hotel once (it was a romantic weekend for San Valentine's day). We ended up paying more than 250 euros for just one night in a charming four stars Hotel with breakfast (but it was a special occasion, so we decided to do it).

I asked around Venice, and I did some excellent research about where to stay in this beautiful city. I made a pretty good list of places divided by categories like "backpackers", on "a budget", "mid-range" and "luxury".

So, in this article, you will for sure find the perfect place for your budget.

Backpackers Accommodations in Venice

Of course, you will have to share a room with other travellers if you are alone or get a private room to share with your travel mates and that is an excellent idea.

1. Generator Venice:

Generator Venice Hostel is a charming Hostel with such great reviews and ratings that it can be a perfect deal to stay there. This Venice's hidden gem, Generator Venice Hostel, stands on the waterfront of the island of Giudecca, one shortstop on the Vaporetto from Piazza San Marco.

It offers private or shared rooms.

Some of the more popular amenities offered are free wifi, an on-site restaurant, and a lounge.

Generator Venice Hostel has wheelchair access and reduced mobility rooms.

For specific inquiries, I recommend calling ahead to confirm. Every room has free lockers, so you will have a safe place to keep all your belongings.

3. Dimora il Veliero Romantico:

This is, in my opinion, the best-located guesthouse. Dimora il Veliero Romantico is not so new and cool as the other two, but it is very close to the train station, so I will have a look at it because trust me, with a heavy bag, walking in Venice up and down bridges is not a funny thing to do.

It has the Venetian charm that I like, and the reviews and ratings a very high, so it is worth it as an option for your Venetian accommodation.

Prices start from 52 euro for a bed in 3 beds shared room and from 110 euro for a twin room ensuite. If you find a suitable option, book it before it is sold out. Venice is very popular, and the cheapest options are always the first ones to go sold out.
