Thanks to many luxury hotels and resorts with beautiful suites with private hot tubs or swimming pools, and the most famous sunset in the world, Santorini is an island that every romantic couple should visit at least once in their lifetime.

Santorini, like every Greek island, is a summer destination, where to go if you are looking to enjoy hot weather and spend days at the beach.

The months to avoid (in my opinion) are July and August when the island gets very crowded with tourists, honeymooners and cruisers.

Also, prices are crazy high during summer, so my advice is to visit it in June or September when the water is warm, temperatures are not too hot, prices are lower and you can easily walk around without having to fight into a crowd to move around.

I have been to Santorini in the middle of September, the temperature was perfect, the seawater was fresh but not too much and the only crowded place was Oia during the sunset.

The rest of the island was very quiet and I managed to explore without any problems and also get the first row of sunbeds at the beach paying only 10 euros.

If you don't care to swim, also May and October are perfect, the temperature is between 16/22 degrees, the weather is nice and sunny (most of the time), prices are even lower and you are gonna have the island all for yourself.

Keep in mind that most of the Luxury hotels have suites with heated pools/hot tubs, so you can book them at a cheaper price and still manage to swim in your private cave plunge.
