What is the history of the Tiramisu’?
Documented records say that Tiramisù was created in Treviso in 1800. Tiramisu comes from the Treviso dialect, “Tireme su” (pull me up). It was Italianised into Tiramisù in the second half of the 20th century. Tiramisu is believed to have been invented by a brilliant “Maitresse” of a house of pleasure in the center of Treviso city, on the northeast side of Italy.
Tiramisu is one of the most delicious desserts in Italy. It is easy to make and can be found in different variations, like with Nutella, liquors (I love to make the Nutella Baileys one), or pineapples, my favorite for the summer (of course, there is no coffee in this one).
So, because I am sure that most of you, or maybe all of you, love the delicious Tiramisu, here is a list of where you can eat it in Rome. Trust me, you will be delighted.

Two Sizes:
Two Sizes Shop isn’t your average tiramisu factory. Here, they’ve got two sizes (duh!), perfectly portioned for solo snacking or sharing with your amore (if you can share dessert, can you? Sometimes I can’t, sorry). And the flavors? Oh, mama, they’re a symphony of sweets. We’re talking classic tiramisu, rich and creamy.
Are you feeling adventurous? Dive into the peanut butter tiramisu, or go nuts for the pistachio (my favorite one), which is so good that it’ll leave you weak in the knees. And while you’re there, don’t forget to snag a cannolo siciliano.
These crispy shells are filled to order with ricotta cream, candied fruit, and a sprinkle of magic. Just one bite and you’ll be transported to a Sicilian beach, the sun warm on your skin and the taste of happiness on your lips (I know they are not typical from Rome, but when in Italy, just try as many Italian delicacies you can, even if they are from another region).
Address: Via del Governo Vecchio, 88, 00186 Roma RM, Italy

Mr 100 Tiramisu:
Nestled in the shadow of the mighty Pantheon, there’s a little gem called Mr. 100. They serve a hundred different flavors of that creamy, coffee-soaked dream! Forget your basic mascarpone and ladyfingers. Mr. 100’s got tiramisu that sings opera in your mouth.
Think pistachio and cherry, lavender with honey, and even tiramisu infused with the golden nectar of bees (don’t knock it till you try it!).
And the best part? They whip it up fresh right before your eyes, like a culinary magic show with spoons twirling and cocoa powder swirling. It’s tiramisu theatre, guys!
Address: Via dei Sediari, 11/12, 00186 Roma RM, Italy
